The theory is that her unique appearance was influenced by a Moroccan father and a Galician mother. Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan Spanish actor who hails from Los Angeles. She is the star of The Brave. When she was just five, she moved to America and grew within Orange County. Both her mother and father are multilingual. Her Moroccan-born mother comes from Morocco and her father, who is Spanish-born hails from Spain. She is fluent in Arabic, English and Spanish and German. While she originally planned to pursue to pursue a journalism career, she switched to a career in modeling and acting after being scouted. She appeared as Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless and appeared on the CW Telenovela Jane the Virgin with Justin Baldoni as well as Gina Rodriguez. On NBC's The Brave, she plays Hannah Rivera, a Defense Intelligence Agency participant.
