Actor Katherine Heigl is opening her mind about being born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that realization has affected how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared that her appearance didn't concern her, however, after talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of the stark differences the two were. "I I asked my sister Meg, if she had been treated in one manner while walking around with our parents and a different way in the time she was by herself without them. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl told parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." She admitted that she was mad however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to assist her daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black and was adopted in 2012.
