Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson gained worldwide fame for her role as Buffy Summers. In the cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she played Rebecca Becky Granger. A native CalifornianSwanson developed an interest in acting when she was an infant. She began her acting career acting in commercials as an actress. In 1984 she made her debut on the screen with an episode of NBC's sitcom It's Your Move. Two years later when she appeared on the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Swan gained notoriety for her blonde lisp and the breathless sound of her voice. Recently, she's shifted from main roles to side ones. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
